About this Event

Renowned as one of the nation’s premier free folk festivals, drawing crowds of up to 150,000 attendees annually, the three-day extravaganza showcases a diverse array of music, dance, crafts, culinary delights, and family-friendly activities throughout downtown Lowell, Massachusetts.

This edition, being the 37th annual Lowell Folk Festival, promises to be explosive with the unveiling of the initial lineup of musical acts slated to perform at the event scheduled for July 26-28.

In the words of Arthur Sutcliffe, Chairman of the Board for the Lowell Folk Festival Foundation, “We are thrilled to introduce this wonderfully diverse array of performers, who are just a glimpse of the talent set to grace Lowell at the close of July.”

Attendees can anticipate a special R&B treat with Cyril Neville, the youngest of the Neville Brothers, joining forces with his son Omari Neville to bring the vibrant sounds of New Orleans to Lowell. Additionally, Jesse Daniel will illuminate another facet of classic American folk music, showcasing the iconic ‘Bakersfield sound’ of honky-tonk, famously championed by Merle Haggard and others.
